Trip to Cusco - Sacred Valley

Transfer to the Sacred Valley, on the way we will visit AWUANACANCHA, which is a small town dedicated to textile art, during your visit you can see its techniques of dying and weaving on looms.
We continue on our way and we will pass through Calca, Ccoya, Lamay (small picturesque villages) and we will arrive at Pisac, a picturesque colonial mestizo village where on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday craft fairs are held in the main square, on Sundays the Quechua mass is celebrated.

Visit Machu Picchu

We will arrive at the Puente Ruinas station in Machu Picchu. Baggage will be delivered to the staff of the Inkaterra or Inkaterra MAPI hotel to continue the trip to Machu Picchu.

08:00 hrs pick up by our staff to start the tour, we headed to the Colcas de Cheqoq in the archaeological site of the same name, to understand in context of the archaeological site of Moray, archaeological set of concentric shapes where you can perceive the variations of the characteristics: humidity and temperature of each platform.
Finally, we went to Las Salineras where the inhabitants of the town of Maras conserve the form of communal administration of the salt mines and we observe formations of salt wells that in the environment of the sacred valley give it a magical landscape.
Then, on the way to Cusco, we pass through the town of Chincheros where the most experienced textile artisans of the Cusco region meet.

Canopy Tower
The tower of scaffolding that we will visit has a height of 30 meters and is located 20 minutes from Posada Amazonas. This canopy tower has been constructed so that it can be climbed easily and safely, using stairs that have guardrails on each side, resting on small platforms existing every 2 meters. From the top not only can you see a spectacular view of the Tambopata River and the treetops, but also an excellent position to observe birds that inhabit these heights, such as toucans, parrots and macaws.

Visit Tres Chimbadas Lake:
Thirty minutes by boat and a forty-five-minute walk will take us to the shores of Tres Chimbadas Lake. From here, a catamaran and a native rower will take us for a silent tour of the lake, to appreciate the lake fauna at its peak of activity. We will look for alligators, riparian birds, the peculiar Shanshos, typical bird of the area, and hopefully you can see the family of river wolves (seen by 60% of our visitors), known as the largest freshwater otters in the world. Its busiest point goes from dawn until about 08:00 hrs or 09:00 hrs
Collpa de Loros:
The Collpa de Loros is only twenty minutes from the lodge. From a hiding place, they can be seen at a distance of approximately twenty meters as they descend on most clear days, dozens of parrots and parrots to feed on clay from the clay lick. The Collpa is visited early in the morning, late in the morning or in the afternoon, depending on when you are observing more activity.

Islands of Lake Titicaca

Departure 06:45 hrs. We will embark on an unforgettable excursion by motorboat over Lake Titicaca to visit the Uros Floating Islands, approximately 30 minutes away. Former settlers of the lake, known as the Aquatic Tribe, build their own islands by periodically adding new layers of totora, they also use this material to build their houses and boats. We continue sailing to the Island of Taquile, whose inhabitants are dedicated to agriculture, crafts, and fishing mainly. Inhabited by Quechua natives who have developed, from generation to generation, an efficient and original social system and a magnificent weaving technique.
