The beautiful city of Cajamarca, located at 2740 AMSL in the eastern slope of the Andes mountain range in the northern mountain range of the country, is considered Historic and Cultural Heritage of the Americas, as well as its wonderful landscapes, was the scene of important historical events. Before the conquest of the Incas, a legendary culture existed in Cajamarca, discovered by the famous archaeologist Julio C. Tello, whose main legacy as culture are more than 90 archaeological sites.

The “Ventanillas de Otuzco”, just 8km from the city shows one of the most wonderful examples of Peruvian pre-Hispanic necropolis. Several quadrangular funerary niches are carved on the rock wall.
